FAQs

Copy setups, fees, reputation, and the economy behind SIMP.

Find an answer#

What is SIMP?#

SIMP is a social copy-trading terminal. Discover traders, copy eligible new activity with your own rules, inspect your Copy account, and build seasonal REP through qualifying performance.

The idea is simple: trade alongside people you follow, compete with people you respect, and build a name that lasts beyond one good call.

What makes SIMP different?#

Trading, reputation, and the token economy are connected. Token activity funds community rewards; traders compete for those rewards through the terminal; terminal revenue funds SIMP buybacks and burns.

REP measures qualifying percentage returns rather than raw trading volume. That gives a smaller account a way to compete without having to outspend a whale. The REP leaderboard shows the current season; FOMO Traders separately shows source-attributed trader performance for discovery.

What fees do I pay, and where do they go?#

SIMP token trading1.5%

1.2% to community rewards and bounties.
0.3% to PONS.

Terminal trading1%

Base platform fee per transaction.
50% of platform revenue allocated to SIMP buybacks and burns.

These are separate fees. The token fee applies to SIMP token trades; it is not a tax on every other asset you trade in the terminal. Trading SIMP through the terminal can involve both. Network costs, venue fees, and any other token’s tax are additional considerations in the execution quote.

Eligible referred users get 10% off the copy fee, taking the base rate from 1% to 0.9%. The discount does not reduce gas or token taxes. Full fee breakdown ↗

How does the revenue flywheel work?#

  1. 01

    Token activity funds rewards

The community share of token fees builds rewards and bounty pools.

  2. 02

    Rewards bring traders into SIMP

Traders use the terminal, build REP, and compete for seasonal allocations.

  3. 03

    Terminal activity funds buybacks

Executed trades generate platform fees. Half of platform revenue is allocated to buybacks and burns.

  4. 04

Buybacks connect usage to the token

Purchases create demand; burning the acquired SIMP reduces circulating supply.

That is the loop: token activity supports the product’s community, and product activity supports the token. It depends on people continuing to use both. Explore the revenue flywheel ↗

What do buybacks and burns actually do?#

A buyback uses allocated revenue to purchase SIMP. A burn removes acquired tokens from circulation. Together, they connect terminal usage to token demand and supply.

For scale: $1M in terminal volume at the base 1% fee produces $10,000 before discounts and adjustments. Half of that illustrative base is $5,000. Actual buyback allocations follow collected platform revenue.

This is not a fixed return to holders or a price floor. The effect depends on revenue, market liquidity, and buying and selling elsewhere. The 50% allocation describes the revenue commitment; it does not specify a purchase schedule.

Where do rewards come from?#

The community receives 1.2% of SIMP token trading volume—80% of the token’s 1.5% fee. At $1M in token volume, that is $12,000 for community rewards and bounties.

Seasonal rewards are divided into seven tier pools. Your reviewed closing tier and the season’s distribution rules determine your allocation. A pool’s headline balance is shared across eligible participants; it is not the amount each trader receives. Individual bounties have their own published conditions.

How do I set up a copy trade?#

Choose a trader from FOMO Traders and open Copy. Confirm the source wallet and network, set your buy size, choose Copy sells or Manual sells, then review Custom Buy before enabling the setup.

The setup follows eligible new activity. It does not buy the trader’s existing portfolio. Configure a copy setup ↗

Should I use Ratio or Fixed sizing?#

Ratio scales with the source buy. At 25%, a source buy of 2 SOL produces a 0.5 SOL target. Fixed targets the same amount for each qualifying buy regardless of source size.

Max Amount is optional and caps either mode per buy. It does not limit total exposure. Repeated buys can add to the same position. Sizing examples ↗

Will I get the same result as the trader I copy?#

No. You enter later, potentially at a different price and size. Fees, liquidity, filters, and your exits also affect the result. A trader’s historical PnL is a research input, not your expected return.

Why did a buy not copy?#

Check the setup’s recorded reason. It may be paused, short of funds, or blocked by your entry filters, token limit, slippage setting, or an unavailable route. Execution & skipped buys ↗

Does pausing or removing a setup sell my tokens?#

No. Existing holdings stay open. Review them in Portfolio and manage their exits separately; do not rely on a stopped setup to process future source sells. Exits & setup management ↗

Which networks can I copy on?#

Use the networks available in the active copy form. Seeing a trader’s activity on a chain does not establish execution support there. Confirm the source wallet and selected network before enabling a setup.

How do I earn REP? Do I have to sell?#

REP comes from eligible position performance, not the amount of money you deposit or the volume you churn. Held-token value and sale proceeds contribute to a position’s current score; losses reduce it. You do not have to sell just to make an open position count.

REP is a score, not a token or a spendable balance. Your tier follows your seasonal score. Try the REP examples ↗

When do tiers reset and rewards become available?#

Seasons run monthly on the published UTC schedule. REP and tiers reset for the new season; your holdings remain open. Carried positions start from a new opening valuation, so the same gain is not awarded again.

Rewards follow the reviewed closing result, not the highest tier you briefly reached. Check your confirmed allocation and claim availability in Rewards. If a tier has no eligible players, its unawarded pool rolls into the next season. Seasons & settlement ↗

How do referrals work?#

Share your referral link. Eligible referred users receive 10% off their copy fee. Your earnings depend on the eligible net copy fees generated by your network: 30% at L1, 3% at L2, and 2% at L3.

These are shares of fees, not shares of the trader’s deposit or volume. Each trade pays you at its position in your network; you do not collect all three rates on the same trade. Referral earnings settle in USDC, separately from seasonal ETH tier rewards. Referral calculations ↗
